Cleans brass cases well.
John Roche andyman024139117 January 2019As far as affordable vibrating tumblers go, this one works great for cleaning brass cases. With crushed walnut media, you get a lot of dust. Walnut media cleans well but the brass doesn't come out shiny. There's almost no dust with crushed corn cob media and it cleans well too and the brass comes out shiny. If you want it polished, add some polish. The cases come out clean using either dry media. If you remove primers prior to cleaning, the primer holes won't be as clean as using wet media with steel pins and little pieces of the dry media get stuck in the primer pocket and flash holes. They are easily removed with a small pin punch or compressed air.

Definitely not a lightweight and if flying with it and guns will almost certainly make it eligible for excess baggage Haven't tried dunking it in a pond to test waterproof but well constructed, sturdy and will hold two of my rifles securely with it's customisable pluck foam. Securing latches on each end as well as 5 at front was an unexpected bonus. Locking holes for 2 padlocks (although being plastic this is more to stop children from getting in rather than deterring a determined thief). Very happy with this purchase

The Gerber Crucial is a compact and modern multi tool enhanced with all the basic tools. Its size makes it the perfect tool to take with you, but also makes it practical enough to use. Not too big and not too small. Practical when you are out on the road, for in your backpack or for everyday use. Gerber’s aim was to make a decent tool enhanced with the most basic functions. They were more than successful!
The Gerber Crucial comes with pliers, a wire cutter, bottle opener, medium flat blade screwdriver, Philips-head screwdriver, a knife that can be opened with one hand and a cutting hook. The amazing thing about this tool is that you access every tool from the outside. As such you won’t need to open the pliers to reach the other tools. All tools are locked by the liner-lock when opened. In addition, you can use the pocket-clip to easily attach the tool to your pocket.
Needle nose pliers
You open the pliers by using both hands. The beak has been enhanced with small serrations that will offer you additional grip. The spine of the beak has been rounded off to make sure you can easily reach narrow spaces and bend wires. The pliers has also been enhanced with a wire cutter you can use to cut small branches and stems. Long pliers always come in handy!
Knife, one-handed opening
The large drop point knife is made from stainless steel. The blade is razor-sharp and has a cutting surface of 6 cm. A section of the blade has serrations. The other half is smooth. Once opened the knife is immediately locked with a liner-lock. As a result the knife can never close when you don’t want it. In addition, it enables you to use it for the more demanding tasks. When opening and closing the blade you will hear a familiar click.
