A modified mil-rad ranging crosshair reticle provides a simple and easy-to-read mil scale on all axes to help calculate ballistic drop to improve first-shot accuracy, determine the range (distance) to the target, and estimate the target size.

Optical Performance

Mil-Rad Ranging Crosshair Reticle

• Modified crosshair design
• Placed on the first focal plane so subtensions of the reticle will be true at any magnification
• Use to calculate ballistic drop to improve shot accuracy, determine range to target, and estimate the size of the target
• Top vertical and left horizontal scales are scaled in 1-mil increments
• Bottom and right scales are scaled in 0.5-mil increments; after 11 mils the scale is marked in 5-mil increments
• Below the horizontal scale, between the 10-mil and 20-mil increments, is a series of horizontal lines that can be used for ranging shoulder width of IPSC or similar silhouette targets
